Recipe Quests or Too Soon |
5 Jan 2020, 16:49:38 5 years ago 5eahorseReputation: 18 Posts: 18 Joined: 19 Oct 2019 | I started a new character to revisit early areas/quests and noticed discrepancies... Some of the recipe quests aren't aligned with comparable quests and are available too soon. As of this writing, my dwarf is level 7
Search for the Lair of Snakes quest: The Hermit is correct in telling you that your level is too low for this quest. If you go to the entrance to the snake's lair, you cannot enter until level 8. Yet, the Merchant (Fire Magic) hands you Recipe "Wooden Pole" quest requiring 5 giant snake skins.
Wolf Wool for the Charms Enchanter Wizard quest: The Charms Enchanter Wizard is correct in telling you that your level is too low for this quest. At lv 7, you have recently bought your first armor and just now can equip a new weapon and you are absolutely no match for wolves at this time. Yet, you have the Merchant (Weapon Shop) who is handing out Recipe "Axe Handle" quest sending you off to gather 40 drops of angry wolf blood. The same angry wolves required by the wolf wool quest the player is too low for.
Aside from typos I'm seeing, that's all I have at this time. see https://prnt.sc/qjo0j0 I know at least one of the snake quests I've yet to relive also has the black diamond ? mark, but replacing something else besides an apostrophe. Time for some proof reading lol! |

I enter the lair and the Snake Charmer gives me several bigger quests which include a 50 kill count each of Big Snakes and Giant Snakes. At level 9 the Hermit still won't let me kill 30 regular snakes.
During the Snake Charmer's quests, I gathered 5 snake skins for the Recipe: "Wooden Pole" quest and now can't turn it in until level 10 with the update (my fault, I know). By the time I reach level 10, I should have every snake quest completed except the Hermit's 30 basic snakes left to kill.

Access to Lair of Snakes at level 8 is right on the money. So are the quests.
Access to the Graveyard Ruins at level 25 is wrong wrong wrong. Too soon! With the best armor and weapon available to you at 25, entering the Graveyard Ruins is a death sentence. you may survive 1 hit from a Skeleton Marauder , barely, but not 2. I forget the next higher skeletal, it does kill 1 hit and probably overkill on a lv 25 player. |

The Recipe: "Bone Handle" quest requiring level 10 to complete. Can you point me in the right direction that I can take my level 10 to get bones? I have a stockpile of "small" bones and have yet to kill anything that drops bones. I dare you to tell me I need 20 more levels to make bone handles from marauding/elite skeleton drops, that the lv 10 quest was given out to too low a player.
My lv 27 can still only take 2 hits, half health per hit now which makes fighting skeletons impossible. Werewolves are still a tight fight for my best character. I saw Pyrone grinding wolves in caves at lv 30+ if that is an indication about the difficulty of fighting skeletons.

Skeletons are still intimidating as a level 42 Gnome with +10 of the best equipment possible and that 2020 Ring. |
